NOTE: Duct cleaning is broken down into two separate functions.  
1. The Disassembly, re-assembly and modification of duct, which is covered under Article 8  
2. The actual cleaning of the duct which is covered by Article 9  
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Article 9 §230.6. "Prevailing wage" means the wage determined by the fiscal officer to be prevailing for the various classes of building service employees in the locality. In no event shall the basic hourly cash rate of pay be less than the statutory minimum wage established by article nineteen of this chapter, or, in a city with a local law requiring a higher minimum wage on city contract work, less than the minimum wage specified in such local law.
SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFITS
Additional per hour:
           
After 90 days:
 
Full Time: $ 8.37   $ 8.80  
 
Part Time: $ 1.87   $ 1.74  
 
Full time is defined as employees regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 27.5 hours per week.
 
SICK DAYS
 
In first year, employee will accumulate 1 hour for every 30 hours worked to a maximum of fifty six hours.  
 
After the first year, 10 days pay or 10 days off with pay.  
This is based on 40 hrs a week, lesser hrs would be prorated.
 
Payout of unused sick days are due 1/31 every year.  
 
VACATION DAYS
 
The following days off are after time with the employer,
 
6 months with employer 3 days off with pay
1 yr- with employer 5 days """"
2 yrs- with employer 10 days """"
5 yrs- with employer 15 days """"
10 yr- with employer 20 days """"
25 yr- with employer 25 days """"    
 
PERSONAL DAYS  
 
All employees shall receive 2 personal days per year.
 
Paid time off for part-time employees shall be prorated. (See "Introduction to the Prevailing Rate Schedule", 'Wage and Supplements' heading, for a detailed explanation.)
OVERTIME PAY

Any holidays worked will be paid at time and one half plus the holiday pay
1 1/2 times regular pay on the sixth consecutive day of work
2 times regular pay on the seventh consecutive day of work
HOLIDAY
Paid: See (5, 6, 11, 12, 25, 26, *29) on HOLIDAY PAGE
*Note: If an employee is required to work on Juneteenth, said employee shall receive an additional Floating Holiday in lieu of of Juneteenth holiday/holiday pay.
 
If the holiday falls on a weekend the Monday or Friday are observed. If any work is performed on the observed Holiday, then time and one half for work plus holiday straight time is due.
